We go to the ring and out comes SmackDown General Manager Daniel Brya. Bryan mentions WrestleMania 33 and calls SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi to the ring. Bryan says everyone here truly believes she deserves it. Bryan says they are so proud of her but that’s why what he’s about to do is the hardest thing he’s had to do as General Manager. Bryan says he and Shane McMahon have reviewed her medical records with doctors and due to her not being able to defend the title within 30 days, he asks her to relinquish the title. Naomi thanks Bryan for his kind words and says she knows he knows what she’s going through. Naomi talks about how she felt like she was on top of the mountain at Elimination Chamber but now she’s in a free-fall. She feels bad for her fans who have been here for the journey, she feels like she’s letting them down. Naomi says she knows WrestleMania 33 is probably gone when she hands over the title. Naomi hands over the title as fans boo.
Naomi sends a message to whoever is “borrowing” her title – she promises everyone will feel the glow when she’s able to come back. Before Naomi can get up the ramp, out comes Alexa Bliss. Bliss takes the mic and loves what just happened. She mocks Naomi and offers to solve the problem with Bryan. She suggests Bryan return the title to her. Bryan says Bliss is the former champion and he supposes it does make sense, but he’s not going to do that. Bryan makes Bliss vs. Becky Lynch for the vacant title.
SmackDown Womens’ Championship
Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch
Becky and Bliss goes into the collar and elbow tie up. Becky with a quick rollup for a one count. Bliss responds with a double leg take down. Becky with an Oklahoma Roll Up, but Bliss kicks out at two. Becky follows that up with an enziguri. Bliss lands a clubbing blow to the back of Becky. Becky drops Bliss with a shoulder tackle. Bliss goes for a hip toss, but Becky counters with a single leg takedown. Becky float overs to a front face lock.
Bliss repeatedly drives her knee to the chest of Becky. Becky with a Bexploder Suplex for a two count. Bliss rolls out of the ring. Coming out of the commercial break, Becky connects with the Straight Fire Forearm. Becky follows that up with a Springboard Side Kick and another Bexploder Suplex for a two count. Bliss sends Becky to the ring apron. Becky connects with a missile dropkick for a two count. Bliss tries to roll out of the ring, but Becky grabs her by her ankles. Bliss with a palm strike to the throat of Becky behind the referee’s back. Bliss rolls Becky up with a hand full of tights to pickup the victory. Bliss celebrates with Mickie James on the stage. Mickie tries to cheap shot Becky, but she kicks her out of the ring.

Renee Young is in the ring with new SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi. Renee starts the interview but a “you deserve it” chant starts out. They reveal that Naomi suffered an injury during the title win at Elimination Chamber. Naomi didn’t even realize she was injured until she got back to her room and was relaxing. Naomi says she’s been down this road before and has worked through several injuries. Those didn’t stop her and this won’t stop her now. Naomi says it took her 8 years to get to this moment and one way or the other, she’s bringing the title home at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando. The music interrupts and out comes former champion Alexa Bliss.
Bliss mocks Naomi’s injury and says she just lucked out at Elimination Chamber. Bliss says Naomi realized on Monday morning that she’s no Alexa Bliss, then dreamed up this injury because she knew she wouldn’t retain in the rematch. Bliss goes on dissing Naomi and tells her to bring her family to WrestleMania so they can see the real champion, Alexa Bliss. Naomi calls her a little flea and warns her not to play games. Bliss tells Naomi to calm down. Bliss says she’s in a really good mood tonight and is giving Naomi one week – hand over the title or Bliss will beat her all over the ring and take the title back. Bliss leaves as her music hits and Naomi looks on.
